WHY OZ LAMELECH?

We offer high level shiurim designed to advance a talmid's Derech Halimud so that his experience in Torah learning is even more meaningful and enjoyable than before.  College graduates are sophisticated in their ability to think analytically, and are trained to define concepts and categories precisely; hence, they are open to creative thinking.

These skills can have a positive impact on the way Torah is studied as well.  At Oz Lamelech you will dedicate the major portion of your daily schedule to the in-depth study of the Talmud.

The Yeshiva will offer you the unique opportunity to gain the tools with which to deal with the challenges that you will face in the work place.  You will learn how to react as a ben Torah to challenging situations and moral issues that come up at work, so that you will make the right decisions and not simply react to the influence of the crowd.

Therefore the daily schedule of Oz Lamelech will include the in-depth study of Halacha, and its practical applications to your professional career and personal life. There will be lectures on issues that are relevant to the Torah Jew in the modern world, in areas such as medicine, law, business, the arts, and philosophy.

In addition to the regular Gemara schedule, you will participate in weekly classes in Torah, Halacha, and Jewish thought, taught by a group of experienced magidei shiurim.

Mussar lectures will be taught to inspire the talmidim to greater heights in Avodas HaShem.

Torah Personalities who are experts in professional fields will speak about the Halachot pertaining o their areas of interest.  You will focus on the sources from the Torah and the Gemara through the Poskim thus learning how to apply Halacha to your day to day life.  These lectures will address many of the ethical problems you are likely to encounter in your field,
